Delta Is Adding More Mexico Flights as Aeromexico Alliance Keeps Growing
It’s quietly become one of the hottest travel destinations in the hemisphere: Mexico City, with its vibrant blend of high-level gastronomy and dynamic cultural offerings. Now, Delta is adding another new route to Mexico’s capital, thanks to its ongoing alliance with Aeromexico.
The new route? A nonstop flight between Phoenix and Mexico City, which will mean an extra 2,300 round-trip seats every week.
The new route kicks off on March 30, Delta and Aeromexico confirmed to Caribbean Journal.
And it’s just part of an even deeper expansion for the aviation partnership, one that will include 80 jointly-operated routes by the end of this year, according to Jeff Morgan, the senior vice president of network planing at Aeromexico.
Aeromexico is set to launch a major new nonstop route between Miami and the Mexican Caribbean in December, with plans for its first-ever flights between Miami and Cancun.
That route will officially launch on Dec. 19, Caribbean Journal has learned.
Are you planning a trip to DF, as locals call it? There’s a buzzy new hotel that just opened its doors with a striking design and an on-site “caviar bar.” It’s called the Alexander. You can learn more here.
