Carnival Cruise Line’s New Grand Bahama Port Will Have a Beach Club, Food Trucks and 12 Bars

By: Dana Niland - September 27, 2024 - 4:42 pm

If you haven’t been following it, the island of Grand Bahama is in the midst of a renaissance. There’s a new airport on the way. And a new $350 million Six Senses resort. And next summer, the island is about to welcome a major new cruise destination for Carnival Cruise Line.

It’s called Celebration Key, and now Carnival is sharing new details about the highly-anticipated new Caribbean port.

So what do we know so far?

Celebration Key, which is opening in July 2025, will have a significant culinary focus. That includes four restaurants, nine different food trucks, a food hall, five “snack shacks” and, yes, 12 different bars.

The menu will be wide-ranging: conch fritters, barbecue, beach-friendly comfort food and more.

That includes a Bahamian-focused eatery called Mingo’s, which will have tropical drinks, conch fritters, fried fish and tacos, among others.

Also on offer will be a Caribbean seafood eatery, an international, diverse food hall and every manner of food truck — replete with self-ordering kiosks.

Celebration Key will have its own lagoon, and that will include a signature bar called Long Necks — one featuring 100 swim-up seats (and it’s not the only swim-up bar, either).

There will be a little bit of everything: an infinity pool, another restaurant and a special admission-only beach club where, for an added fee, you can get all-inclusive food and drink).

Carnival already has launched sales for sailings that include Celebration Key.
