Legendary musician Sir Rod Stewart is joining The Bahamas’ big autumn culinary festival, which is taking place at the Baha Mar resort in October, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Stewart will headline the Beach Party at the Baha Bay Lagoon for this year’s Bahamas Culinary and Arts Festival, which runs from October 22-27.

Stewart’s performance is part of a must-visit food fete that will include celebrity chefs like Marcus Samuelsson, Dario Cecchini and Ken Uechi, all of whom have signature restaurants at the Cable Beach resort.

That’s along with John Cox, the executive director of the innovative arts program at the Baha Mar.

The rare performance by Stewart will be his only performance in The Bahamas in 2024, with the music star joined by chef action stations and crafted cocktails. Tickets start at $299 for the event.

Also on hand for this year’s festival will be Bahamian celebrity chef Simeon Hall Jr, and Food Network stars Amanda Freitag, Carla Hall, Maneet Chauhan, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Scott Conant.

That’s along with top mixology talent including local star Marv the Mixologist and sommelier Amanda McCossin, among others.

The food events (which include Daniel Boulud’s Truffle Dinner at Cafe Boulud) are accompanied by some inventive art programming, including the FUZE Art Expo, which brings together art from seven different Caribbean islands.
