The colorful colonial buildings, the boutique hotels, the art galleries, the creative cuisine.

They’re all part of the reason why Cartagena has been one of the fastest-growing destinations in the Caribbean basin in recent years, repositioning Colombia as a Caribbean tourism powerhouse.

Now, the country’s top airline has restarted a pair of nonstop routes between the United States and the emerging Caribbean hotspot.

Avianca just relaunched service from both New York and Miami to Cartagena, part of a broader seasonal restart for the carrier.
