New Nonstop Flights Between Rhode Island and Puerto Rico

It’s getting easier to fly from New England to Puerto Rico. First there was Spirit’s new route between Hartford, Conn. and San Juan last year.

Then, rebranded carrier Avelo kicked off the first-ever flights between New Haven and San Juan.

And this fall, another new nonstop route is coming to San Juan from the land of Brown, Federal Hill and Newport.

Beginning Oct. 27, JetBlue will be operating a daily nonstop flight between Providence, Rhode Island and San Juan.

The new nonstop service is another boost for both the Rhode Island market and San Juan, which has been one of the busiest airports in the Caribbean in recent years.

JetBlue said the new flights between Rhode Island and Puerto Rico are already on sale.
