Two New Hotels Are Coming to the Dominican Republic’s Capital

A pair of new hotels will soon debut in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, part of the expansion of Southeast Asian operator Archipelago International. 

The company, whose Caribbean operations have been focused in Cuba, will be opening two new hotels in Santo Domingo this year, Caribbean Journal has learned. 

That includes the new Aston Rubi City Suites and the Aston Bocettos City Suites. 

The Rubi City Suites will have 179 rooms, while the Aston Bocettos will feature a total of 126 rooms. 

It’s part of a broader Caribbean expansion for Archipelago, which has more than 45,000 rooms in its global portfolio. 

Both hotels will be opening their doors “in the next 12 months,” according to a statement from Archipelago obtained by Caribbean Journal.
