Frontier Airlines Is Adding Another Nonstop Flight to St Croix, USVI

By: Alexander Britell - February 29, 2024

A thriving culinary scene, world-class beaches (including our favorite in the Caribbean for 2024) and a robust selection of personality-filled boutique hotels. The US Virgin Islands’ St Croix is one of the buzziest islands in the region right now, and increased demand is helping fuel a surge in new flight routes.

That includes the newest flight to St Croix: nonstop service between Orlando and St Croix, which will begin in May on Frontier Airlines.

Beginning May 25, Frontier will be kicking off once-weekly nonstop service between Orlando and St Croix’s Henry Rohlsen International Airport,

That flight will continue to operate on Saturdays, with flights starting as low as $69, according to the ultra-low-cost carrier.

It’s the second major route Frontier has announced to St Croix in the last month, joining new flights between San Juan and St Croix set to launch on June 2.

The latter will further help connect St Croix to Frontier’s broad network of source cities in the US, thanks to wide-ranging service to San Juan from the mainland US.

Another carrier, the fast-growing regional company Fly the Whale, is launching new flights to St Croix out of San Juan next month.

St Croix, which recently rebranded itself as the island with “A Vibe Like No Other,” has been seeing travelers visiting the island in droves, as its tourism product continues to get richer and more interesting.

That growth ranges from hip new boutique hotels like The Fred in Frederiksted and the King Christian in Christiansted, to a host of high-profile eateries earning regional and international renown.
