It’s the newest luxury resort in the Mexican Caribbean: Maroma, a Belmond Hotel, which reopened and relaunched following a dramatic transformation last year. 

Now, the hotel has unveiled another major addition: the first-ever Guerlain Spa in Latin America and just the second in the Caribbean (the other is in the Cheval Blanc in St Barth). 

The spa is inspired by Mayan culture, with a menu featuring everything from “healing rituals” to an anti-aging treatment called the Talisman of Immunity.

The spa was designed by Tara Bernerd & Partners, which also helped lead the redesign of the hotel itself.
