Hilton Just Opened a New Affordable Hotel in the Dominican Republic  

Hilton has added another new hotel in the Caribbean, this time a Hilton Garden Inn in the Dominican Republic. 

The company has debuted a new Hilton Garden Inn in the town of La Romana. 

The 130-room hotel overlooks Catalina Island and the Caribbean Sea, set about nine miles from the La Romana International Airport. 

The property has a pool, flexible meeting space and an outdoor terrace, offering a new affordable option in the popular town best known as the home of the Casa de Campo Resort and Villas. 

While it’s not on the beach, it is on the water’s edge, and the hotel does offer shuttle service to nearby Catalina Island, known for its snorkeling trails, white-sand beaches and watersports. 

The resort courses at Casa de Campo, including the renowned Teeth of the Dog course, are all just a short drive away. 

Dining concepts at the property include the Garden Grill, which serves daily breakfast, local and international cuisine for lunch an dinner; the Garden Bar, offering light snacks. 

The hotel also ha an outdoor bar that looks out onto Catalina Island, along with a 24-hour grab-and-go spot called The Shop.

The Hilton Garden Inn La Romana is Hilton’s third property in La Romana, joining the existing all-inclusive Hilton La Romana Family Resort and Hilton La Romana Adults-Only resorts. 

The resort is part of the Hilton Honors program, meaning it is available for booking on points or using the brand’s “slider” that gives the option to mix points and cash. 

Hilton has nearly 30 hotels in the wider Caribbean-Mexico region, with plans to double its portfolio in the Caribbean. That includes a pipeline of another 30 hotels currently at some stage of development.
