A New Top Chef at This St Croix All-Inclusive
The recently-reinvigorated Divi Carina Bay all-inclusive resort in St Croix has named a new leader for its culinary program.
The property has tapped Norman McPherson as its new executive chef. McPherson will be in the charge of the resort’s eateries and bars, including Oceans Bar & Grill, Waves Marketplace, Tuscany Ristorante Italiano, East End Coffee, and Latitude Bar.
McPherson has been cooking professionally around the world for more than two decades.
“I love the idea of taking a simple raw ingredient and turning it not only into a work of art, but also something that’s healthy, satisfying, and nourishing,” said McPherson. “Guests can expect a strong focus on traditional Caribbean cuisine, the freshest seafood, authentic Italian, and an emphasis on organic and healthy ingredients.”
The resort has also named a new general manager, tapping Lucy Ocampo to the role.
Ocampo has worked at several resorts in the Caribbean and beyond.
