Air France is expanding its network in Latin America and the Caribbean this summer, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The carrier is launching a new route next month linking Belem, Brazil with Cayenne in French Guiana.

The new service, which kicks off May 5, 2023, will operate once weekly on Air France’s Airbus A320 aircraft.

Air France has been expanding its network in the Americas in the last several years, including more flights to Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe and Fort-de-France, Martinique.

It’s a boost for French Guiana, still one of the most under-the-radar travel destinations in the wider region.
