Dominican carrier Sky High Dominicana has launched a new route connecting the United States Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic.
The new service, which kicked off this week, will be operating twice each week between Santo Domingo and St Thomas.
The flights will run on Mondays and Fridays, operating nonstop, according to the Virgin Islands Port Authority.
The first flight between Santo Domingo and St Thomas was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Cyril E. King Airport in St Thomas.
SkyHigh has a growing network of flights across the Caribbean, with 16 different destinations in the wider region.
