The Dominican Republic Has a New Luxury Resort

By: Alexander Britell - December 23, 2022 - 3:31 pm

There’s a new haven for luxury travelers in the Dominican Republic — and it just so happens that it’s set within the country’s greatest resort.

The renowned Casa de Campo Resort and Villas has unveiled its new “Premier Club,” a luxury resort-within-a-resort at the La Romana property.

The Premier Club, which began welcoming guests this week, is all about exclusivity, personalized service and privacy, the resort tells Caribbean Journal.

“The Premier Club at Casa de Campo will create an unprecedented level of privacy and exclusivity for our guests to enjoy,” said Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President at Casa de Campo. “From the moment they arrive, guests will be privately checked-in by our welcome receptionists at the exclusive Premier Club Lounge and be able to relax in seclusion while enjoying a drink or light appetizers at the Club Lounge Bar. Featuring both indoor and outdoor areas, Premier Club guests will be able to maintain autonomy that is exclusive only to guests staying in our new suites.”

The Club is amid of 26 Premier Junior Suites, 27 Premier Junior Suites and four Premier One-Bedroom Suites.

That is along with a large Premier Presidential Suite.

The suites have a number of amenities you won’t find in a traditional Casa de Campo room: an exclusive Premier Club-only golf cart; private concierge service, nightly turndown service and even a customizable pillow and aromatherapy menu.

The junior and premier suites have 55 or 65-inch smart TVs, full-size premium wet bars, Kohler bathrooms and a selection of artisanal gourmet coffees and teas, among other touches.

Of course, the suites also have the amenities at Casa de Campo itself: the Minitas beach club, the poolscape, the spa, the marina. It’s a range of amenities that is simply unmatched anywhere in the Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean at large.

And, naturally, the most impressive golf offering in the region, anchored by the Pete Dye-designed Teeth of the Dog, the leading golf course in the entire Caribbean.

Teeth of the Dog from above.

If that seems like a lot of superlatives, it’s all deserved: Casa de Campo this year took home the crown as the Caribbean Hotel of the Year in the Caribbean Travel Awards

It all adds up to a major new step for the legendary resort — and for the Dominican Republic’s luxury sector.

“ It is an exciting time for our company and guests alike with all of the improvements we are making throughout the property,” Kycek said. “We are grateful to be able to take Casa de Campo to the next level and raise the bar in luxury hospitality within the Dominican Republic.”
