There’s a new eco-tourism destination in The Bahamas.

The celebrated Coral Vita coral farm in Grand Bahama is now open to the public.

The farm, which debuted in 2019, has a mission to restore dying coral reefs in the region.

Using cutting-edge “microfragmenting” technology, the farm grows coral 50 percent faster than at normal rates.

The new coral is planted back into degraded reefs, “bringing them back to life,” the organization says.

And now visitors can see the process in action, with an interactive tour to learn more about the process and importance of ocean conservation.
