Sonesta Has a New CEO

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has named a new chief executive officer, Caribbean Journal has learned. 

The company has appointed John Murray to the role, effective April 1, 2022. 

Murray has served as a Director of Sonesta rinse 2008, having been a banging trustee, president and CEO of Service Properties Trust, which owns a 34 percent interest in Sonesta. 

He is succeeding Carlos Flores, who is resigning from the role after seven years in the position. 

“I am very excited to assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer at Sonesta, which is well poised for further growth and expansion,” Murray said. “As Sonesta has greatly expanded its number of hotels over the last few years under Carlos’s leadership, it has also enhanced the depth, quality, and experience of the Sonesta team.”

Sonesta has been rapidly expanding in the last few years, including in the Caribbean.

Caribbean Airlines Relaunching Curacao Flights

Caribbean Airlines is relaunching its service between Trinidad and Curacao.  The carrier will resume its flights between Piarco Interntional Airport and Curacao International Airport on April 5. Sunwing Just Added More Cuba Flights
