American Airlines Is Adding Another New Route to Jamaica
American Airlines is adding another new nonstop route to Jamaica, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The world’s largest airline is set to kick off its first-ever service from Austin, Texas to Montego Bay, Jamaica on June 4.
The new flights will run weekly on Saturdays between Austin and Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport.
American will operating the service on 76-seat Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft with 12 first class, 20 main cabin extra and 44 main cabin seats.
“It’s wonderful to see our long-standing partnership with American Airlines keep growing. We are looking forward to seeing more visitors arrive into Montego Bay with these new flights,” said Francine Carter Henry, Tour Operator and Airlines Manager at the Jamaica Tourist Board.
Austin has seen rapid growth in recent years, particularly during the pandemic, with more and more carriers now looking to the city as a source market for Caribbean tourism.
