Sunwing has added another flight to the island of Cuba.

The Canadian travel giant has added a second weekly flight between Halifax and Cuba’s beach destination of Varadero.

The new flight is operating weekly on Thursdays, with service through April 28, 2022.

It compliments existing Halifax-Varadero service that’s operating on Saturdays.

That flight is running through April 30.

“As the only Atlantic Canada gateway offering flights to Cuba this winter, we’re thrilled to be introducing another flight from Halifax to Varadero for our customers in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island to enjoy,” said Andrew Dawson, president of tour operations for Sunwing. “As a Canadian favorite and easy entry destination, we’re seeing pent-up customer demand for vacations to Varadero with increasingly limited availability for the duration of winter, so now is the time to book.”
