The Bahamas leads the pack among Caribbean spring break destinations, according to a new report from travel insurance company InsureMyTrip.

The Bahamas was the top trending destination in the Caribbean, as measured by InsureMyTrip policies sold for departures between March 13 and March 27, 2022.

It was second among all international destinations, according to the report, following Mexico and ahead of Italy.

“With travel restrictions lifting and mask mandates relaxing, spring breakers appear to feel comfortable traveling again outside the U.S. and are more apt to consider travel insurance,” the company said in a statement.

The other Caribbean destination in the top eight was the Dominican Republic.
