Every Suite at This New Riviera Maya Resort Will Have Its Own Pool

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 8, 2021

A new adults-only resort is coming to the Riviera Maya on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.

The new La Casa de Playa is the latest resort by Mexico’s Grupo Xcaret, with plans to open its doors on Dec. 13.

The adults-one resort will have just 63 suites, all of which will have ocean views, all of which will have their own private pools.

The resort, designed by architect David Quintana, was conceived to be a “living sculpture,” according to the company.

“We are thankful for the overwhelming acceptance of our new hotel project which joins our Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte family and will continue endorsing our commitment to excellence and sustainable tourism recreation,” said Architect David Quintana, Vice President of Strategy and Development at Xcaret. “La Casa de la Playa is a tribute to the best of Mexico, the common thread that will continue to be the great love for our country.”

The hotel’s gastronomic offerings will revolve around a “Culinary Collective,” one that will include distinct eateries by celebrity chefs like Martha Ortiz and Virgilio Martinez, among others.

There will also be a spa called Muluk, one where “Mayan mysticism and contemporary Mexico merge in natural harmony to create ancestral treatments personalized with care, to generate healing and peace during a sensory experience,” Xcaret says.

That means 13 treatment cabins, two salt rooms, two mud rooms and amenities like hydrotherapy rituals to boot.
