Demand for Caribbean vacations is strengthening, according to a new report from travel firm Kayak.

Of the top 10 most-searched-for destinations on Kayak’s platforms open to U.S. tourists, five are in the Caribbean.

That includes Cancun, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, Aruba and The Bahamas.

In fact, in the last week, Caribbean travel search interest is nearly at 2019 levels, or 84 percent of the interest in the same period in 2019.

That’s likely due to eased restrictions for vaccinated travelers in certain destinations like The Bahamas, according to Kayak.

“Summer travel searches are heating up, with searches up as much as 70 percent month over month,” Kayak said in its report.
