Sunwing is set to relaunch more flights to the Caribbean this winter, the travel giant said this week. 

That will include returning to Sudbury and North Bay in Ontario for routes to Cuba and Cancun. 

Beginning Dec. 16, Sunwing will operate weekly Thursday service between North Bay and Cancun, with flights running through April 14, 2022. 

On Dec. 17, Sunwing will relaunch flights between Sudbury and Cuba’s all-inclusive capital of Varadero, with weekly Friday service set to run through April 15. 

“Greater Sudbury Airport is looking forward to welcoming Sunwing back for another successful season,” said Todd Tripp, Chief Executive Officer at Greater Sudbury Airport. “After a difficult year of staying home and not travelling, we’re sure that residents of Sudbury and the surrounding area will be looking forward to enjoying some much-deserved rest and relaxation in paradise.”
