American Airlines Launches More Flights to Turks and Caicos
American Airlines has added another new route to the Turks and Caicos Islands, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The carrier has kicked off its newest route to the British Overseas Territory with new flights from Chicago O’Hare to Providenciales.
The flight is operating once weekly on Saturdays, the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board confirmed.
Even amid the pandemic, American Airlines continues to add new flights across the region, a push buoyed by its new alliance with JetBlue Airways.
The launch comes after American Airlines announce that it would be adding two more routes to Turks and Caicos this summer.
In June, American will launch new service from New York-John F. Kennedy International Airport to Turks and Caicos, also operating weekly on Saturdays.
The new Chicago service complements existing nonstop flights between Chicago and Turks and Caicos on United Airlines.
That route operates on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Turks and Caicos’ tourism industry has been open since last summer.
