Le Sereno Is Opening Again in St Barth

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 10, 2020

The Le Sereno luxury resort is reopening in St Barth next month, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The ultra-luxe property on Grand Cul de Sac has announced a Dec. 17 reopening date.

The property is relaunching with a host of updates, including the addition of the property’s new “Suites Piscines” pool suites.

“It has been a challenging year for the industry, but we are delighted to welcome our guests back to Le Sereno as we open our doors and launch exciting new experiences for the 2021 season,” said Samy Ghachem, Managing Director of Sereno Hotels. “We look forward to providing our guests with world-class cuisine inspired by our sister property, Il Sereno Lago di Como, design-driven accommodation with offerings for larger groups and of course, the relaxed and luxury service that they know and love. Guests can rest assured our staff and procedures are above and beyond, having just finished our season at Il Sereno in Lake Como.”

The hotel has also unveiled a new menu at its Ristorante Al Mare eatery, along with an option for intimate, small-group weddings at the hotel’s pool or beach.

“Following damage from the passing of Hurricane Irma my family decided to demolish and to completely rebuild from scratch a significant part of the property, including more than half the rooms and all the public spaces, while maintaining the iconic style of Le Sereno which has a devoted following amongst guests. In the true spirit of ‘plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose’, we worked on a complete rebuild, while keeping the essence of the hotel intact” said Luis Contreras, Founder of Sereno Hotels.

St Barth is currently open for tourism; all visitors need to provide proof of a negative PCR test taken and received within 72 hours before arrival.
