There’s a new airline in the Caribbean, with the official launch of Jetair Caribbean.
The startup carrier has kicked off its regional service with new flights between Curacao and St Maarten, according to the Curacao Hotel and Tourism Association.
Jetair, which had been operating charter service since November, now plans to expand its flight network with more routes in the Caribbean and South America.
The new Curacao-St Maarten flights will run twice weekly, with service on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Jetair Caribbean is running the service on an 80-seat Fokker 70 aircraft.
“This new service offered by Jetair will allow more visitors from Sint Maarten as well as other Caribbean islands connecting through Sint Maarten to come and experience the unique product Curaçao has to offer,” CHATA said in a statement.
