There’s a new way to take an all-inclusive vacation on the gorgeous island of Barbados.

Barbados-based Elegant Hotels Group has announced plans to convert its popular Tamarind beach resort into a “premium all-inclusive resort.”

The West Coast property will officially relaunch as an all-inclusive on Oct. 1, according to the company, making it the fourth all-inclusive in Elegant’s resort portfolio in Barbados.

Tamarind is set on a beautiful stretch of the Platinum Coast.

“We are delighted about our much beloved Tamarind hotel’s conversion to an all-inclusive resort. We see enormous potential for Tamarind under the popular all-inclusive model,” said Sunil Chatrani, CEO of Elegant Hotels Group, in a statement. “We are excited about the prospect of the resort complementing our existing portfolio and attract discerning families seeking an active all-inclusive adventure holiday.

The 101-room resort on Barbados’ tony Platinum Coast will mean unlimited all-day options at the Sugar Cane Room and the 246 Bar & Restaurant.

In a cool touch, Tamarind’s all-inclusive program will also mean a curated dinner menu at the adjacent Daphne’s restaurants, one of the most celebrated restaurants in Barbados.

Other inclusions at Tamarind will non-motorized water sports, themed dining, free Wi-Fi and beach and pool “ambassador” service.

Tamarind also boasts an adults-only pool, a fitness center and a boutique spa.

The all-inclusive move only adds to Barbados’ growing prominence as an all-inclusive destination, from the new Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados to the recently-transformed Sea Breeze Beach House on the south coast of the island.

Tamarind is one of seven Elegant resort properties in Barbados, including The House, Colony Club, Treasure Beach, Crystal Cove, Waves Hotel and Spa and Turtle Beach.

The firm runs sales and marketing for The Landings resort in Saint Lucia.
