Caribbean Airlines is adding a new destination in the Caribbean: Curacao.

The regional airline is planning to launch new flights from Trinidad and Tobago to Curacao, with service slated to begin Aug. 2.

The flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

“The flights will provide Curacao excellent connections to and from Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, New York and other destinations,” the Curacao Hotel and Tourism Association said in a statement. “These connections will open more possibilities for Curaçao to expand market-share and attract more visitors whether for business or leisure.”

The organization said the new flights were part of a year of conversations.

“We look forward to welcoming Caribbean Airlines to Curaçao,” CHATA said.
