The Christopher St Barth is coming back.

The luxury hotel in the Lorient section of St Barth has announced a reopening date of Feb. 20.

The Christopher will be the first of St Barth’s five-star properties to reopen in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

Staff members announce the reopening in style.

“The new Christopher is on its way,” the property said in a post on Facebook.

The opening is actually ahead of schedule; the property had previously announced plans to relaunch in March.

The new Christopher has completed a total renovation of all 42 rooms and suites at the property, with “a new look in the same spirit of contemporary design,” according to its Web site.

The Spa Sisley has also updated its treatment rooms, while a new fitness room has been added.

Other upgrades include an infinity pool relined with mosaics and “entirely rethought” Taino and Mango restaurants under the stewardship of Chef Nicolas Tissier.

While the Christopher is the first five-star to relaunch, a large number of smaller properties have already opened their doors, including the Tom Beach, Le Village and Les Ilets de la Plage in St Jean.
