American Airlines Names SVP for Network Strategy

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 16, 2017

American Airlines has announced a major new appointment for its network growth.

The carrier has tapped Devon May as its new senior vice president of network strategy, a role in which he will assume leadership over American’s network strategy including network planning, alliances and partnerships with regional carriers.

As part of the move, Kenji Hashimoto will be assuming May’s financial responsibilities.

“Our network strategy consists of three key areas: our domestic and international network, our regional partners that feed the mainline system, and our relationships with other carriers through alliances and partnerships,” said American Airlines President Robert Isom. “Devon’s extensive background in fleet planning and flight profitability, his experience in finance, and his prior work in route and capacity planning provide a great foundation for strategic leadership of our overall network strategy.”

May will oversee all regional flights services under the American Eagle Brand, along with seven regional affiliates.
