LIAT Adding More Grenada Flights

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 20, 2017

LIAT is adding new flights between Grenada and Barbados.

The carrier has restored its daily early-morning service from Grenada to Barbados, which had been withdrawn late last year.

The service will relaunch on June 15; LIAT will also be adding a new flight to Grenada, with four-times-weekly flights between Barbados and Grenada.

“This new service will also commence on June 15th and will operate four days a week, arriving from Barbados mid-morning, and departing Grenada just before noon for Barbados,” said Grenada Tourism Minister Dr. Clarice Modest-Curwen.

LIAT will be changing aircraft on the Grenada route with a new ATR 72, meaning an additional 40 seats every day.

“This new schedule of service parallels nicely with our needs and we have already started working with LIAT’s marketing team to not only market the new flights, but to fulfill the additional capacity we are now going to benefit from,” said Francine Stewart, marketing manager at the Grenada Tourism Authority.
