Here Are the Nominees for the 2017 Reggae Grammy

The Grammys have released the nominees for the 2017 Best Reggae Album grammy, and it’s a mix of familiar names and some new faces.

The list includes Devin Di Dakta & J.L. for Sly & Robbie Presents … Reggae for Her; J Boog for Rose Petals; Ziggy Marley for Ziggy Marley [eponymous]; Raging Fyah for Everlasting; Rebelution for Falling into Place; and SOJA for SOJA; Live in Virginia.

The list comes after legendary reggae group Morgan Heritage took home the Reggae Grammy for “Strictly Roots.”

Ziggy Marley has won two of the past three Reggae Grammy awards, in 2014 and 2015.

Sly and Robbie won previously in 1999 for “Friends.”

The Grammys will air Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017.
