A Top Caribbean Tourism Conference Begins in Puerto Rico

Region’s tourism leaders gather at El Conquistador

FAJARDO – Some of the Caribbean’s top tourism leaders have gathered at Puerto Rico’s El Conquistador Resort for the Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum, or CHIEF.

The three-day event includes hoteliers, general managers, marketing directors, engineers, sales directors, entrepreneurs, executives, government officials and others.

It includes a trade show and a series of panels and speeches.

Some of those slated to speak this weekend include TripAdvisor head of industry relations Brian Payea, AMResorts President Gonzalo del Peon and Nicola Madden-Greg, president of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, among others.

Some of the sessions include “Cuba: Opportunity or Threat?” and “Future of Travel Distribution: Are you Tuning into the Right Channels?”.
