Splashaway Bay to debut on Harmony of the Seas
By the Caribbean Journal staff
When it debuts, Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas will become the world’s largest cruise ship.
But it will also have the tallest largest slide at sea,a 100-foot plunge that will be part of the cruise line’s new Splashaway Bay aqua park for kids.
The park will include water cannons, winding slides, a drench bucket and a multi-platform jungle gym, along with the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story slide that begins in the pool at the aft of the ship and continues down to the boardwalk neighborhood below.
Harmony of the Seas will begin Caribbean cruises in November 2016, with both Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings out of Fort Lauderdale.
