Alicia Keys recreates a classic shot

It’s some of Jamaica’s best promotional work in a long time — and it’s all thanks to Alicia Keys.

Over the weekend, the music superstar released a remake of Jamiaca’s iconic 1972 campaign featuring Trinidadian model Sintra Arunte-Bronte.

That photo caused a sensation around the world and was a landmark for tourism promotion in the region.

“I always wanted to redo this 1972 classic!” Keys wrote on Instagram.

Photographer Brendan Forbes shot the new photo (above).

Keys is no stranger to Jamaica, of course, having visited the island and even recorded at the famous Geejam hotel and recording studio in Port Antonio.
