Condado is hip, it’s energetic. It’s home to some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean, some of the best shopping.

This is the Condado district of Puerto Rico’s capital, San Juan, a modern, energetic district that redefines the Caribbean neighbourhood.

It’s also home to one of the coolest hotels anywhere in the Caribbean, if not the hemisphere: the O:live Boutique Hotel.

And up above this radically-well-designed property is the Rooftop Club, a contemporary, artful place that looks out on the high-rises of Condado and the waters of the Condado Lagoon.

It’s the design that truly stands out — as eclectic and inspired as the rest of the 15-room boutique property, inspired by the Mediterranean travels of the property’s owners.

Access is only for hotel guests and members of the club, but a lazy, rum-filled afternoon at this place is worth far more than the price of a one-night stay at the O:live.

Because it might just be the coolest rooftop bar in the whole Caribbean — and the perfect place for a Ron del Barrilito at sunset.
