Seeking to capitalize on the growing legalization of marijuana and medicinal marijuana around the world, the Marley family has launched its own marijuana brand.

It’s called Marley Natural, and will reportedly initially be sold in areas of the US market where marijuana is legal either medicinally or for recreational consumption.

“Marley Natural is born of Bob Marley’s deep respect for the power of nature to heal and inspire us,” the company says. “True to his ideals, we will cultivate fine cannabis, blend infused topicals and craft accessories that celebrate life, awaken well-being and nurture a positive connection with the world.”

According to Marley Natural’s Web Site, the medicinal marijuana will be first made available in late 2015.

The company is calling itself the “world’s first global cannabis brand.”

It is the product of a partnership with Seattle-based Privateer Holdings, which has been on a push to invest in companies dealing in the expanding legal marijuana market.
