Jamaica Finance Minister Visits New York

Jamaica Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips began a three-day visit to New York City on Wednesday.

The visit will include a meeting with 50 of “the most prominent members of the New York financial community,” according to a government statement.

The visit was organized by Rohan Barnett of Commonwealth Partners, who said Phillips had done well in “managing the Jamaican economy through a difficult period.”

The trip will include a tour of the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday.

Phillips returns to Jamaica on Saturday.
