Where do people use cell phones the most in the Caribbean?

To find out, we looked at the most recent edition of the World Bank’s World Development Indicators report, which has data on a number of specific business and economic indicators in the region, including the number of mobile cellular subscriptions per 100 people.

The most recent region-wide data, which comes from 2012, was sourced from the International Telecommunication Union’s World Telecommunication/ICT indicators database.

So which country leads the Caribbean in the rate of mobile phone subscriptions?

It’s the Cayman Islands, which had 172 mobile subscriptions for every 100 people in the territory, followed by St Kitts and Nevis, which led CARICOM with 157 subscriptions per 100 people.

See below for the complete ranking. Note: the data did not include Anguilla, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Curacao, St Maarten, the US Virgin Islands and the French departments.
