Cayman, Poland Sign Tax Agreement

The Cayman Islands and Poland signed a Tax Information Exchange Agreement on Friday.

Cayman’s Minister of Financial Services, Wayne Panton and Poland’s Ambassador, Witold Sobkow, signed on behalf of their respective governments.

The deal was signed in London during the Joint Ministerial Council of Overseas Territories of the United Kingdom.

“Today’s signing indicates our countries’ confidence that TIEAs are effective in the fight against financial crimes, including money laundering and tax evasion,” Panton said in a statement.

It is the 33rd such agreement signed by the government of the Cayman Islands.
