The French Leave Marina Village resort will begin delivering units this summer on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera.

The project, which will eventually consist of 37 seafront cottages, will be offering stays beginning Nov. 1, ahead of a planned Summer 2014 opening.

Shaner Bahamas, which was founded by Lance Shaner and Eddie Lauth, is developing the project with Governor’s Harbour Resort & Marina, Ltd.

The project represents the first construction of true seafront cottages on Governor’s Harbour since the late 1940s, as the 270-acre site had been unavailable for private ownership for more than seven decades.

“With French Leave this changed,” Lauth said in a release. “The current resurgence of development in the Bahamas means that buyers at French Leave will find air travel convenient and recreation and dining options abundant.”

French Leave will include a full-service marina, a private beach club, a bar and grill, a pool, among other amenities.

Each unit will be for sale individually.
