Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe and Tourism Minister Stephanie Villedrouin are leading a high-level delegation to Aruba.

The group, which arrived in Aruba on Wednesday, is also comprised of Gamal Augustin, the deputy director general of the National Radio and Television of Haiti and senior government officials.

The delegation was received at the airport by Aruba Finance and Communications Minister Mike De Maza.

Lamothe met with Aruba Premier Mike Eman on Thursday, also answering questions at the Aruban parliament.

The purpose of the visit was part of Haiti’s government’s push to attract more investment in the country, according to a statement from Lamothe’s office.

The visit included talks with Parliament President Pauldrick Francois Teodoric Croes and Governor Fredis Jose Refunjol to discuss cooperation and relations between Haiti and Aruba, according to the Prime Minister’s office.
