Haitian-American Leaders Celebrated at South Florida Gala

MIAMI — The Haitian-American Professionals Coalition held its annual holiday fundraiser at the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach Friday.

The event honoured a host of professionals, including North Miami Mayor Andre Pierre, attorney Cheryl Little, Dr Jean-Philippe Austin and Major Gary Eugene from the City of Miami.

Also honored were local public television station WPBT, which airs the Haiti Journal programme, and longtime television network Island TV.

The event’s special guest was Pras Michel, a founding member of the Fugees.

South Toms River, NJ Mayor Joseph Champagne was the event’s keynote speaker.
