Turks and Caicos Governor Ric Todd is heading to the United Kingdom this week to brief United Kingdom Ministers, his office announced Monday.

The main purpose of the trip is to provide a post-election update to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Department for International Development.

That is in part aimed at preparing for the visit to Turks and Caicos by Overseas Minister Mark Simmonds, who will be heading to the country from Nov. 26 to Nov. 28.

Simmonds’ visit will include talks with new TCI Premier Dr Rufus Ewing, the Cabinet, the Leader of the Opposition, Members of the House of Assembly and religious and business leaders.

Deputy Governor Anya Williams will serve as Acting Governor during Todd’s absence.
