Barbados Attorney General and Home Affairs Minister Adriel Brathwaite held talks Monday with a delegation from China at the Webster’s Business Park.
The visiting Chinese group was led by Li Fei of China’s Committee for the Basic Laws of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress.
The “wide-ranging” discussion covered topics including the role of District Emergency Organizations to the departments that full within Brathwaite’s portfolio, according to a statement.
The talks also focused on the country’s legislature, as well as the judicial and legal sectors in the two countries.
Barbados and China have had diplomatic relations since 1977.
