Barbados Prime Minister Freundel Stuart continued his China visit, meeting with China’s Premier Wen Jibao and discussing the possibility of an air link between the two countries. “There is endless potential, especially for people to people exchanges,” Stuart said. “Barbados is an approved destination for outbound Chinese, so we stand ready to resume discussion on this matter.” Wen said he welcomed the visit, calling it “indicative of the importance the two states attach to our relations.” Barbados was one of the first countries in the Caribbean to establish diplomatic relations with China, he said.
