Trinidad and Tobago needs to push its tourism sector more strongly, according to Spain’s Ambassador to the country, Jose Maria Fernandez Lopez de Toriso.

The Ambassador, who recently paid a courtesy call on the country’s Trade Minister, Vasant Bharath, urged Trinidad and Tobago to ramp up its promotion of opportunities.

“Trinidad  and  Tobago  has  many  investment  opportunities  to  offer particularly in the tourism sector, however the package of incentives/advantages for investment in Tobago’s Tourism Sector needs to be marketed more aggressively,” the Ambassador said.

Spain’s envoy was meeting Bharath at his office in Port of Spain this week.

“The  potential  for  Trinidad  and  Tobago  is  absolutely  unlimited  as  you  enjoy  comparative advantages, such as cheap energy and a safe environment,” the Ambassador said.
