Antigua’s Curtain Bluff Names New GM

By: Dana Niland - October 4, 2019

Curtain Bluff, the luxury all-inclusive resort in Antigua, has appointed Andrea Balladori as the property’s newest general manager, Caribbean Journal has learned.

A hospitality veteran, Balladori has more than 30 years in the hotel industry, and now joins Curtain Bluff after having served most recently as the Executive Assistant Manager at the Gayana Marine Resort in Sabah, Malaysia.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andrea to the Curtain Bluff family,” said Rob Sherman, Managing Director of Curtain Bluff. “With his extensive leadership background and expertise, we are confident the resort will thrive in the island’s dynamic landscape. Through our many investments and improvements over the years, Curtain Bluff will continue to be the “it” destination in Antigua and deliver an elegant yet unpretentious experience with the same family charm and personalized service.”

Balladori previously held positions at Grosvenor House Park Lane and Dukes Hotel in London, Careys Manor in Hampshire and back in his home country of Tuscany at Hotel Il Pellicano in Porto Ercole.

Balladori arrives to the property as it is set to unveil several upgrades for the upcoming season.

That includes a complete refresh of all 12 of the Bluff Suites with natural stone tiling, bathrooms and furnishings.

This is a continuation of Curtain Bluff’s 24-month plan to ensure that every room is brand new.

“I am excited to be a part of this innovative team as we continue to elevate the exceptional offerings at Curtain Bluff for our current and future guests with state-of-the-art renovations and authentic Caribbean experiences,” Balladori said.
