Miami Set for CHTA’s CHIEF Conference

Miami is set to once again host one of the Caribbean’s leading hospitality exchanges.

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s CHIEF, or Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum, will take place June 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency Miami in the heart of the city’s downtown.

The conference is aimed at hotel managers, owners, vendors and local associations, according to the CHTA.

The annual event, now in its fifth year, examines the way the Caribbean hospitality does business today, along with working to share and brainstorm “creative solutions to current challenges.”

This year’s agenda will focus on topics from new hotel reservation solutions to trending concepts in food and beverage and guest diversity, among others.

“A hallmark of CHIEF is engagement,” said Frank Comito, CEO of the CHTA. “Sessions are structured to be lively and fun, with a healthy interchange amongst panelists and the audience.  We find this to invigorate participants and stimulate greater networking, one of the key benefits and objectives of CHIEF.”

Doug Lansky, a veteran travel journalist, will deliver the keynote at the event.
