Anguilla Villa Resort Reopens

The Altamer villa resort has completed its post-Irma comeback on the island of Anguilla, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The luxe retreat is comprised of a collection of beachfront villas on Anguilla’s Shoal Bay West Beach.

It’s centered around the five-bedroom, 12,000-square-foot Antilles Pearl villa, which includes a formal dining room with seating for 12; an entertainment room; a rooftop terrace and a 50-foot “skywalk” that protrudes right over the sand.

That’s along with two private tennis courts and a fitness facility.

The property has also added a new duplex villa called Petit Topaz that includes a private courtyard and a private outdoor hot tub.

Guests at Petit Topaz get private access to the beach.

“We are thrilled to announce that Antilles Pearl and the newly repositioned Petit Topaz are reopened after the damage of last year’s hurricanes. The future of Anguilla is bright and after a disaster like Hurricane Irma, we are grateful for our remarkable team and staff who worked graciously and diligently to restore the villas,” said Francis Greenburger, founder and chairman of TEI, which owns the property. “I consider Altamer a home away from home and am proud to announce that our villas have been completely transformed and far surpass the comfort, design, and aesthetic of the pre-Irma product. There is a new feeling of modernity and warmth throughout the freshly restored villas.
