This is another side of Puerto Rico, far from urbanity, deep in the heart of the island’s lush natural world.

The newest listing to hit the Puerto Rico real estate market is this, a mountainside rainforest retreat in the town of Lares.

With over 5,000 square feet of livable space, it’s the intersection of serenity and modernism.

The property, which is listed for $1.5 million, has a mix of three bedrooms, seven full bathrooms a 1.54-acre lot.

While hidden in the mountains of Lares, the property is not far from historical sites and attractions to explore and discover.

Built as an extension of the surrounding mountain, the home features plenty of outdoor space with generously sized patios and terraces accessible from every room.

There’s a waterfall that cascades into the covered pool, a detached entertaining room and even an elevator.

And yes, it’s a smart home, too.

Carefully planned landscaping allows for privacy and summer shade, while still accommodating the property’s panoramic views.

The home also features a Jacuzzi, two-story guest house, underground movie theater, detached entertainment room and fully stocked kitchen.
