Holland America Line Returns to St Maarten

Holland America Line returned to Philipsburg, St Maarten on Saturday with its cruise ship ms Koningsdam.

HAL plans to call in Philipsburg, St. Maarten once more with Koningsdam on March 10, as well as six times with ms Eurodam and once with ms Nieuw Amsterdam this season.

ms Eurodam begins calling at the destination on January 11 and Nieuw Amsterdam calls on February 21.

ms Eurodam came into service in 2008 and has a passenger complement of 2,104; the ms Nieuw Amsterdam was launched in 2010 and has a passenger complement of 2,106. The ms Koningsdam is part of HAL’s Pinnacle Class, and came into service in April 2016.

In a statement, Port St Maarten management said it was “elated” to see the return of Holland America Line in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

Holland America had been one of the destination’s long-term partners prior to the storm.
